edit: noticed its only one lv 13, not a set (old title= trying full level 13 runes with collectors edition)

... with the new collectors edition there is a good opportunity for everyone who thinks these are soooo powerful to see how small the difference it actually makes is. dont be disappointed! :P

nevermind, i thought i was a full set of fragile level 13 runes you get with the CE, not only one :rolleyes:
big difference? nah, when killing the normal mobs in KOE or PVP'ing even with level 5 runes its often the same amount of hits required to kill. sometimes 1 hit more or less. luck (150% dmg) seems to have a bigger impact
only case where i actually note a difference is when setting the "default" 211-111 runes, taking more damge and needing 2 or 3 hits more

where it might make a noteable (not only measureable) difference could be either a (long) raid or some case where you hit a target for long time for some other reason
so ofc higher numbers are better, like always - but i heared some times already players were somehow disappointed after getting full 13. i wasnt blown away either to be honest. for me it felt like the upgrades from 2 to 7 had the most impact. when going 8 and later 9 it was like "Meh"
only thing i noticed was when for example merging my 8s into 3x lv9 and had weak defensive runes for soem time it lead to getting a lot of stress in astral, being required to watch every step to not die again. playing a non-tanky class probably did not help either. but i took os as a chance to improve my attention to enemy attacks ^^
oh, by the way, any news on "runic curse"? i think this mechanic was removed or made almost obsolete some time ago? it worked as a further healing debuff and was somehow related to the offensive and defensive runes of the player getting healed. but this was like 9 years ago and i did not really understand the gamemechanics at this point :pinch:

I don't believe Runic Curse has anything to do with healing. I see it on my UniverseMeter addon sometimes too, on random dps. But I don't understand exactly what it is, how it works and what it does. Good opportunity to ask the devs since they allow questions. I'll be sure to ask them too. Expect an answer in 3/4 months :) #sarcasm

What is the Curse of Rune



Curse of Rune (hereinafter - RP) - the percentage of incoming healing cuts, depending on runes you attacking the enemy.

RP introduced to compensate the decrease of incoming damage the
protective runes and increase outbound healing relatively attacking
runes treating your character.

What would have happened if it had not acted RP?

Suppose you have a protective rune 8 steps and you will heal the
character with attacking runes 6 stages. In this case, no RP, you would
get an almost threefold increase in treatment, because damage to you
much less, and treatment - more. In PvP, it would lead to the fact that
the fighting dragged on for a long time and sometimes would not end with
someone's death, but merely interrupted. In PvE, this would lead to the
fact that many classes can go it alone adventure designed for the
group.



How to reduce the influence of the Curse Rune



To ER is not as strongly influenced by the success of your adventure is
more fundamental approach to the choice of attending a character in your
group.

And also you should not rush into battle without restoring vitality to
100% see it is a numeric value, for 299 of 300, is 100% (rounded), and
the RP to you is still valid.

Here is how this feature seems to be working based on our tests (subject

* A and B work as a team against C and D

* Player A and C are both healer.

* Player B and D are both dps.

* Player A heals Player B with reduced heal points based on Player D

In addition the Entropy takes into account your glancing, and
automatically reduces itself when you have already partly failed your
heal, so that you don’t end up having a too aggravated heal reduction
when you miss your spell.



That means if you have glanced a high amount of the heal spell then the Rune Entropy will be lowered accordingly.

Answer: No.



Q: How long does the Entropy stay in effect?

Answer: Disappears with the full restoration of the character's health,
like any wound would, or if you’re rejuvenated after dying.



Q: How is the power of Entropy calculated in a mass PvP?

Answer: It generates an average rate of Entropy based on the amount of
players involved, so it takes into account all the players in battle at
that that moment, and generates an average rate based on the damage
being taken.



Q: Do monsters generate Entropy?

Answer: The absorption got the same name for lore consistency, but a
totally different modifier is applied (apparently PvE modifier is only
half PvP modifier).
