How do people destroy me in battlegrounds in 3 seconds?

Basically the title, I returned to the game a week ago, I have 32k gear score (same as all other people I've inspected since it's the start of the season) and full lvl 7 runes, purple Rubies, Stats, Skill points, Conclave, Trinket etc. I play as Support Bard. I simply cannot do anything in battlegrounds because I get deleted in literally 3 seconds, I drop an enemy's HP by 5% and I'm dead. How is the power difference sooo BIG at the beginning of the season?

My CS used to be pretty decent a few years ago and enough for me to be at least in the upper half of damage dealers, now I only do more damage than just the healers in my party.

I honestly was expecting a fairer battleground when everyone has the same gear, has the CS power gone up exponentially in the past 2-3 years? This makes me quit the game again, battlegrounds used to be my favourite thing, but now I run to the center, get deleted in 2 seconds and repeat.

I haven't read the 1st sentence of your post yet, but the title says enough.
You're playing on F2P. it's either full CS, or dummy. The only players still playing there are players with everything cashed at max, that freefarm every new or returning player that's crazy enough to try the F2P version of a 12 years old game.
So much new CS has been added to the game since that it's gotten ridiculous.

I recommend EU P2P where we play fair and square for over 3 years now.

Does the Empire side on p2p have a decent active guild or would I be lonely there?

Lonely. Thanks to Tashuna that visited empire and claimed all to be hers in her 3 weeks stay in P2P. She managed to ruin the small community left there, burned it all to the ground, people fled to RU, and Tashuna happily returned to her F2P shit xD

There's only league now and I'm unsure on how to rebuild empire without drastically changing habits.

That’s my main reason not playing on the p2p server. I want to play the dark side but without other active players there is no motivation to return to SP.

There were plenty of active players in empire about a month ago, I'd call it too late now. It's league or rebuild empire yourself :/

most likely suboptimal stat distribution is what causes fast death (all in bloodlust or other worthless stats like survivability), also there are different qualities of gear already...
at the beginning of patch everything feels squishy unless its a tanky class

veterans are supposed to have an advantage over rookies in a stateful game like allods. this is not some shooter or soccergame where a rookie is equal to a veteran... game already made catching up so extremely easy. ive seen fast learning newcomers which were in top positions in battlegrounds after like 2 months of playing - for free...
arguments like "maxing out the bankrolls" are often brought by those who lack skill and understanding and thus blame it on itemshop... similar to shootergames where everyone who plays better than those is of course "a hacker" or whatever :rolleyes:
