So great to see familiar names. Did Dee and light really get together?? I remember quitting without saying goodbye to anyone. Spent hundreds if not thousands of hours with all of you. We did a lot of fun and stupid stuff together and I spent way too much time in the lightwood PvP arena instead of studying. Was always worried about the future then (09/10) and Allods was a great escape. The graphics were amazing for a game of that time and I'd spend countless hours exploring sunsets across different maps with a friend or two.
Somehow life worked out anyway. Just like in Allods, it turns out hard work, dedication, and friends get you very far in life. To old friends and our Merc family spread across the world, even though we'll likely never reunite I hope you've all been well, and off to your own adventures exploring your own Allods IRL. Especially you, Chimeera! You taught me to love horses, full moons, and sunsets.
Thank you all for the special memories I'll never forget. I think about all of you from time to time.
Good job resurrecting the 10 year old "comeback" post Kate, haha. Very well put! I was in a similar spot back then; I'm so glad to hear things are going well for you!
But yeah, as you said, countless memories made and good times had with this game. Camping Genoer, Astral Shenanigans, Raiding G-Tower, trying to PVP whenever possible (including taking the boat to the Empire Capital), and even just chilling out and having good conversations. The memories continue to pop up from time to time, which is of course what brought me here (shocker).
It's interesting to think of how much has changed.... My wife and I just had our first kiddo -- we named her Corki... Kidding, we actually named her Harper.
Hope everyone in the Mercenaries family is doing well!
