Put the game on Steam

I can't speak for how easy it is to get a game on Steam, and what kind of cuts must be made to get it there.

But I'm fairly certain that the amount of people brought to the game would make up for any loss of profit on the initial process.

Steam has countless users, why not market to them, and try to get a boost in population for the game?

If i remember Steam take a 10% share on what the game sell.

The second point is versioning , We'll need a global client so both our server and russians can play allods with steam. And big issue for that is that we're not at the same version. If there was a way to have synchronised versions then it would make it greatly easier

Steam isn't spyware.

Allods also has near no advertising, therefore if you aren't specifically looking for it, you can't find it.

They are having a hard enough time getting through legal fights with pre paid cards, lets just throw steam into that mix.

To be fair, as soon as they figure out their crap with the payment methods...
Steam would be the BEST possible option.
Steam wins.
Steam is ahead of the game in EVERYTHING.
If you want your game to be popular, you go through Steam.
Imo, get on the steam train and lets get this population fueled the way it should be.

just lol...

VAC is Valve Anti Cheat...and it's mostly used in games made by valve to prevent cheating...

there are a lot of games that you can see in steam store, but if you want to download them it will redirect you to game's site...

Steam DRM = Anti Piracy, you can play a game on any computer as long as you login to your account and download it. That's completely reasonable.

It's not so much advertising as promotions, and the store part of the Steam client has a search function, so you think, "I'd like to try an MMORPG", you type "mmorpg" into the search box, and you get a list of Steam-linked MMORPGs. Allods is early in the alphabet, so would show up near the beginning of an alphabetic search...

And people might pick it because they look at the promotional materials and think, "hey, that looks really cool, I'll try that". The unique visual style of Allods stands a strong chance of catching people's eyes.

Now p2p 28 Xadaganian avenger with 20 weaponsmith
I'm on an extended break from Allods at the moment, but I'm lurking here to keep up with what's happening. From the looks of things in 5.0.02, I'm better off where I am.

You can have localized version for Steam. GunZ 2 NA is on Steam, the EU version is not for example, and when you type in GunZ on Steam from the EU, it simply doesn't show the game, and the EU version usually gets updates 1-2 weeks after the Steam version.

No I don't want steam! Its bad enough they gave us this mail.ru client.
Offtopic(so to say): Why do all games nowdays have to install a client like mail.ru to be able to download? Why can't we simply go to site and have torent/ direct download options install the game and that's all? For my personal taste it ruins every f mood i have of trying a new game, having to install a stupid no use program and only after be able to actually install the game.
