Hey all, my name is Gumba, I'm part of the Guild Impact (AIRIN) on the Empire side. I have been playing Allods Online for almost 5 years. I have played as a Warrior, Scout, Healer, Demologist, and Paladin but for my PMB I had to decide between my favorites who are Warrior and Paladin. I decided to go with the Paladin for a few reasons, primarily because it's a class that can "absorb" damage, let's you heal yourself and deal massive close quarter damage which are the best things in Allods in my opinion, it's a really fun class to play with !

Let's talk about the possible Weapons and Builds you can use with the Paladin:
The Holy Tank:
Just like the Warrior, the Paladin has the ability to be a tank which excels in shielding abilities via the Holy barriers, alongside the ability to heal and save your allies. The Paladin can absorb tons of damage and still hit hard with the Determination bar filled up. The Holy tank has AOE (area of effect) attacks and single target attacks. The Holy Tank deals high damage AOE but will still take some time killing it's enemies. In PvP, well this class is also used but not as often as a DPS Paladin. You can still manage to be a heavy turtle on the playground don't worry.
For this build you will have to use either a one-handed sword
, mace
or a spear
with a shield
.
Hard Hitter DPS (damage per second):
Paladin is one of the top single target DPS classes in Allods, and yeah you can kill someone without them even noticing you were there. Doesn't amaze you ? Well hear this, wih the Paladin you are able to defend yourself using the holy barriers, heal, and shielding spells. How strong will you feel with all these powers ? Well like a God with some armor on...
The DPS Paladin deals heavy damage on single targets, this means that you will be able to kill targets fast and pass on to another one quick. Most of the DPS Paladin's are PVP focused since it's a killing machine...
The Paladin uses 2 handed weapons like a axe
, sword
, spear
or a big mace
P.S. Keep in mind that you will get your first 2 handed weapons (axe and sword) in quests around level 20, so don't panic and be patient...

Now to decide which race you will playing as:
Kanian: – Deals damage and applies a debuff that causes the target to lose X health every 2 seconds for 20 seconds.
Good single target damage. Mainly used in boss fights as DPS or PvP situations when you want to burst.
Elf: – Applies a debuff that blocks X healing to the selected target. Duration: 20 seconds.
Only effective in PvP in my opinion and only against healers. The heal that this ability blocks is actually low, it basically blocks 1 or a half of a heal so I would use it to finish off a healer.
Xadaganian: – Reduces damage stored in all barriers by X.
Used to be the best racial skill since it decreased all damage in barriers to 0, now it decreases damage in barriers by a certain amount, it still helps in both Tank/DPS for PvE/PvP.
Orc: – Deals X damage to all enemies in front of Reaver.
Great damage in AoE, good if you want to go for DPS.
So Kanian and Orc are mostly DPS toward classes while Xada and Elf are more tanky in my opinion. But you can buy a Cash Shop item that will give you all race abilites if you desire.

With the new update Broken Chains, it altered the paladin slightly in the following ways:
- Mighty Strikes now increases the damage of Crusader Blow, Crusader Seal, Purifying Strike, and Shining Sword by 6/9/18%. Alright ! a boost for damage, can't say no to this
.
- New ruby set: Anger Flushed. Cooldown duration of melee attacks is reduced by 10/20/30% under the Righteous Cause effect. Right you are indeed, this means we get to DPS faster under Righteous Cause effect..
