Information and Welcome

Welcome in Allods

There is a ftp Server and a p2p Server. As a WoW Player u are may used to month pay...10 € a month ..if you pay 21 € for 3 you get 6 month.

Ftp Server is free but has cash shop says it all. On p2p there arent any runes or ways to get buys extra stats or skills only gear based Progress.

There may are small bags to beginn with under lvl 30 but in lvl 30 you can buy a bag with 90 free spots. U get better bags in astral or raids ;).

You can make nearly every raid dungeon astral sec with this Population here and weekly dominion, which are guild pvp ;).

There is one BG that opens here instant the others exept for goblinball and catas and mauso not.

On league we are lets say 80-100 Players iwth natural time differences EU/NA times.

Imps are 50-60 Overall i think, never played there.

We may are small community, but we offer a more friendly gaming atmosphere and better Teamplay/ Fairplay...thats Kind of a Need here ;)

But it may is diffrent for you to come from WoW Population to allods nvm speaking from the ftp Pop or ptp Pop ist smaller than other MMOS Population...BUT a very good game and i am Ex- RIFTler ;)

Welcome again,

Greetings Taleron

RE: New here and, other MMO differences

this game is superior to wow

- you are not forced to pay $
- you have automove system
- you can get a lootpet
- you can make reincarnations
- you have a huge amount of options to improve your char
- game is not tailored abround losers and casuals
- ..... (lots of other great things)

oh and there is no blizzard-spyware crap, i never mentioned this :P
(for those who care look here https://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2…ard_entert.html )

this game is theoretically completely free if you want
those who are in a hurry or lazy use $

if you want more info about the 2 servertypes "free" and "subscription" look at these two threads

my pro / contra list -> http://allods.com/forum/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=7017
free server has a LOT more players

professions are not worth for a new player, so i would skip this
as for mount, atm we have the tropical atoll event, you can get a free horse or wolf from there

Play on subscription server, if you pay for 3 months you will get 6 months instead and this server doesn't have pay to win stuff (on f2p server you will have to spend a LOT of Money if you wanna have fun, unfortunately)

as someone who never spent one cent on this game i can assure this is not true

That's because lublur left out the important part, "In a reasonable amount of time". Without investing money, (drop the "donations" carp, they are payments, not donations - my.com isn't a charity), a new player will be at a distinct disadvantage. The game is well loaded with people who have invested many, many hours, dollars, euros, etc., and a new player will not be competitive in activities that are not power-neutral.

Well, unless he spends money to catch up. Grinding the gold necessary to do it takes too much time, and thus **isn't*fun**.
Now f2p 60 Xadaganian summy with 60/60/60 tailor/weaponsmith/alchemist, bleah gear, 555/555 runes
Now p2p 28 Xadaganian avenger with 20 weaponsmith
I'm on an extended break from Allods at the moment, but I'm lurking here to keep up with what's happening. From the looks of things in 5.0.02, I'm better off where I am.

of course, as always, if it shall happen fast use $
as for donations, since you do not really recieve something for your money its more or less a donation; donations are given without return consideration, the only thing you get for it has a symbolic value; the possibility to get virtual goods
everyone who gives money here is aware of the fact its only for virtual goods, nothing more

since allods is a free game its dependent on these donations, without them it could not run
its a bit like free software which is also dependent on donations

You donate to charity, you do not donate to Allods. :|

is donating to freeware also charity? i think its a bit different?

since i the money someone would give away gets him nothing REAL except that the server / personal whatever this game needs to run continues running i consider this as a donation

i understand if you do not see it this way
i understand that ppl might just use $ to get things and do not think about runnig the server...

but in the end this question is related to how you consider "virtual goods", the things you get for your $

A donation is something that is given to charity, a charity is a non-profit organization

As far as I am aware, my.com is not a non-profit organization
