Game updates so slow...

So I downloaded todays 1.1GB patch in in a few minutes. I've got really good net so downloading isn't an issue.

Actually applying the patch and updating is a different matter though about 20 or so minutes into the update now and its almost completed the second bar. Why does it take so long to apply an update that isn't exactly big? And no I don't have a PC build from a potato either haha.
