Hello everyone! Let me introduce you to Hindi Zahra an artist born in Khouribga, Morocco, in 1979. Growing up, she was surrounded by the rich sounds of Berber music and influences from Egyptian and Bollywood cinema. At 15, she moved to Paris, where she began her artistic journey, experimenting with diverse musical styles and teaching herself multiple instruments. These early years in Paris shaped her distinct sound, merging her Moroccan heritage with international influences.
In 2010, Hindi Zahra released her debut album, Handmade, which brought her global acclaim and reflected her multicultural roots. Tracks like “Beautiful Tango” and “Imik Si Mik” blend jazz, blues, and North African sounds, showcasing her ability to move seamlessly between English and Berber. With Handmade, she carved a space for herself in the global music scene, drawing comparisons to icons like Billie Holiday and Norah Jones.
