Important: The description below does not guarantee the completeness of the changes and fixes in the upcoming updates. Some special names and item names may differ from the in-game translation.

Heroes of Sarnaut!

In the upcoming update, we'll introduce a revamped gear and progression system, including five updated mini-seasons. These changes will allow you to experience even more freedom of choice and flexibility in your progression. We have revamped the equipment acquisition process so you can enjoy smoother and more flexible character growth throughout the entire season. Your progression will now be more engaging and open up new tactical opportunities.

Updated mini-seasons

In the new update, you will experience five mini-seasons, each lasting approximately 10 weeks, except for the final one, which will run for a longer period. The first two weeks of the first layer will be “starter” weeks, just as before, after which heroic adventures and raids will become available. Important: the concepts of “old astral layer” and “outdated equipment” will no longer exist — only current astral layers and the highest item level will be available, making your equipment more meaningful and longer-lasting.

For rating activities, three major seasons will be available: the first two will cover the first four layers, and the third season will span the fifth and final layer. The astral seasons have been adjusted as follows: the first corresponds to the Emerald astral layer, the second and third to the Azure layer, and the fourth and fifth to the Purple layer.

Acquiring and Upgrading Equipment

Items will no longer become bound to your character immediately upon acquisition: they can be freely given to other players through the auction, direct trade, or mail, and will only bind when equipped or upgraded. Looted equipment may not match your class — for example, a cloth wearer may receive a plate item. In such cases, the item can be sold on the auction house or traded with other players while grouped with them. In addition to obtaining gear through the usual methods, you will now also be able to craft current-tier equipment through professions.

Equipment obtained in the new update will also feature a unique visual style!

Cross-Season Upgrade System

Thanks to the cross-season upgrade system, you won’t have to replace your equipment at every new stage — instead, you can upgrade the items you already have, keeping them relevant. Raising an item’s level uses non-limited resources, allowing you to upgrade your gear as you accumulate them. Upgrading quality, on the other hand, requires limited resources available only within the current layer, enabling you to improve item stats to the maximum possible values for that layer.

Limited resources required to increase item quality are restricted by keys, which helps maintain the balance of high-level gear. Raising equipment to the current relevant level no longer requires limited materials or keys, and items can only be upgraded up to the current active layer’s level.

Equipment obtained from activities will now always be of Uncommon quality, but its effectiveness will vary from 90% to 100%, adding a tactical element and allowing you to find the optimal items for your playstyle. By using reinforcement and enchantment scrolls, you can improve item attributes, making your character stronger.

New Opportunities for Professions

Crafting professions are now an integral part of the equipment upgrade system. Crafters will be able to create components needed for upgrades using materials gathered from various locations. The main component, Crafting Parts, consists of cloth, leather, metal, weapon, and alchemical components. These resources can be traded through the auction house and will be in high demand, making crafting professions a valuable source of materials.

Hero's Insignias

Hero's Insignias will now have four quality tiers and will always increase equipment effectiveness by 1%. Each Insignia now has a level corresponding to the current layer’s level, that is, the level of available equipment. An Insignia only applies to items of the same level or lower and strictly of its own quality.

To create Hero Insignia, you must go to the Artifact Anvil, where you can create Insignia of all qualities available on the current layer. The main materials for creating Insignia are Amalgam, Enchanted Pollen, Crafted Parts, Signs of Hero's Insignia, and gold. Signs of Hero's Insignia are a new type of resource that can be obtained in Heroic Adventures. These signs can also be transferred to other players, put up for sale, and purchased from merchants who currently offer entry-level Insignia.

Creating higher-quality Insignias will require more Signs of Insignia, but Heroic Adventures will now provide a primary and consistent source of these signs, allowing active players to regularly upgrade their gear.

All Insignia will be awailable to craft at the Artifact Anvil only and cannot be obtained directly from activities. Two-handed weapons will require twice as many resources as other items, emphasizing their special power.

Equipment Sets: New Bonuses for Maximum Power

A bit later, a system of set equipment items will be introduced. With its help, you will be able to collect special sets that will allow your hero to receive powerful bonuses that strengthen him.

How Sets Work

Each set consists of six items, with two-handed weapons counting as two items. You can collect up to three complete sets and use their bonuses simultaneously. Bonuses are activated when you have at least three items from the same set, and their power increases with each additional item in the set.

⠀ The complete set of six items provides four bonuses:

  • The bonuses for the first three items add simple enhancements, such as increased stats.
  • The last, fourth bonus is a complex and unique enhancement that can add new gameplay possibilities, such as a periodic effect or special damage in certain situations.

Variety and Tactical Choices

Set bonuses will be enhanced if you equip high-quality items. This will allow you to achieve more powerful effects. For example, a set of high-quality items can give bonuses that significantly enhance the hero's abilities.

Set bonuses provide an advantage through unique effects without increasing power or stamina. This makes upgrading sets an exciting goal, as players can strive to improve each item to its available limit and get the most out of their gear.

Examples of Set Bonuses

Each set is designed for a specific playstyle. For example:

  • Damage-oriented sets may increase Determination or Proficiency and provide unique effects — for example, boosting bleed damage or granting a chance to unleash a fiery wave when landing a melee hit.
  • Defensive sets may increase Vitality and Tenacity and apply protective effects when your health drops.
  • Support and healing sets will enhance your ability to heal allies and apply protective effects to the group.

How to Obtain and Use Set Items

Set items can be obtained as rewards for completing challenging activities or crafted through professions. They will not be bound to your character upon acquisition, allowing you to trade them with other players or sell them on the auction house. Sets can be found in specific locations, and their rarity and power will vary depending on the difficulty of the activity and the player’s luck.

For convenience, we plan to add an interface where you can check all available types of sets and where to receive them.

All upcoming changes are designed to make the equipment system clearer and more engaging. We are confident that the new features will allow everyone to find their own path to success, explore the game’s unique aspects, and progress in the style they enjoy most!
